or have a chance to meet any of those you do not know, a quick
thank-you would not be inappropriate. Those association

Open Board Positions for 2010
2010 Wynds of Oakbrook Board of Directors has 3 positions to fill for the coming year. If you or anyone you know wishes to run for the positions on the Board, please send a short bio to Nancy Ebersole (ebernancy@fuse.net) or Judy Reis (judyr@tp1.com) by January 25th.
SOCIAL/REC COMMITTEE SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
The Social/Rec Committee is seeking coordinators to manage
the euchre tournaments on January 13 & 27 and on February
10 & 24. If you are able and willing to help out,
please contact Barb Dieckmann at (859) 991-4506 or Sharyn
Brunk at (859) 630-1986 for additional information.
MOTORIZED TRAFFIC IN THE WYNDS
The streets within the Wynds at Oakbrook are private. The Board of Directors has established a 20 MPH speed limit on Association streets unless otherwise posted. Stop signs are posted at all intersections. Some drivers frequently ignore the stop signs. Recently there have been several pedestrian and vehicular near misses. When traveling on Association streets, please use caution and defensive driving skills to aid in protecting both person and property.
WINDOW AND PATIO DOOR REPAIR
Many residents have requested information on replacing window and patio door glass. The Window Works has been working in the community for some time replacing glass with broken seals and repairing the window and patio door mechanisms. If interested in speaking to a representative about this cost efficient method of fixing windows, contact Mr. Bruce Ginn of The Window Works at 513-729-5000.
TRASH COLLECTION
The governing documents of the Association state that “trash and garbage containers shall not be permitted to remain outside any living unit except on days of trash collection”. Household trash is collected on Tuesdays unless the collection day happens to be a holiday for our sanitation contractor, Rumpke. Since the Board of Directors does not control Rumpke start time, residents have been allowed to place trash at curbside after 6PM on the day before scheduled pick up. Many residents are deviating from this liberal policy by placing trash out well in advance of the prescribed time. Those residents violating this policy should not be surprised when assessed a monetary penalty.
